Wow, y’all it has been one year since I started this blog! Well technically tomorrow marks one year but I started on a Monday so let’s go with it. Close enough right? Let me start by saying how thankful and honored I am that you are reading this. I never imagined myself as a writer but throughout this past year, I have been able to share my thoughts and feelings unlike I have ever been able to in the past.  As I was talking to a friend yesterday about all that has gone on this past year I said “sometimes I have to pinch myself to remind myself that this is real life. I am making a difference in people’s lives by sharing my own life experiences.” The sphere of influence I have today I would have never dreamed to have and I am humbled beyond words at times of where God has brought me to.

I know I have shared this a little bit before but when I was younger I always dreamed I would be a worship leader in some mega-church singing and doing everything that comes with that job. In the process, God was preparing me for what I am doing today. A girl from a small town, who is great at a lot of different things but doesn’t excel in just one thing, who lacked any form of confidence, who dreaded speaking in front of people and would hide behind a “mask”. Yeah, I’m that girl who is now talking to others on a regular basis and praying with people I have never met before and may never meet. I am hosting church services online. Not to mention I have led a couple of online break-out sessions at conferences and I am currently preparing to lead another along with being on the main stage to speak about the ministry our church is doing. Let’s just stop for a second…. Like what????? These are the moments I pinch myself. That is always when I remind myself, no matter how nervous I get or how much anxiety I have, God has chosen me and prepared me for such a time as this. He’s got my back and I need to put my full trust in Him! That may be hard at times because I like to have control, but I am continuing to grow in those areas. I’m a work in progress.

One last thing, to those of you who have subscribed to my blog and open that email every Monday y’all are my rockstars! You keep me going and pushing past any writer’s block because I never want to miss a week, no matter how short or long the blog may be. I pray for each and every one of you. If you have any prayer requests or just need someone to talk to don’t hesitate to reach out to me at megan@churchanywhere.us

I cannot wait to see what this next year brings and I hope you continue this crazy journey with me!
