We are entering into an exciting phase in transportation. Due to government incentives, all of the major automakers have come out with electric cars this year. So whether you drive a gas-powered car or a coal-powered car, there are different fuel options out there. For the Christian, we should have an attitude fueled by gratitude.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:17)

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1)

We have so much to be thankful for and this thankfulness should inform our attitudes. Christians should look different in this world simply because of the grateful attitude we carry. We know that we deserve hell, but God in His great mercy saved us. While we were still sinners, while we were enemies of God, Jesus died for us. It’s nothing we did to deserve it—it was an act of mercy and grace. The next time a negative attitude starts to creep into your mind, remember that the Enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy. Identify where that negative attitude is coming from and refuel yourself with gratitude for all of the great things God has done for you.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
