Hope for Revival

Hope for Revival: When It Begins in Us

We often pray for revival. We long to see God move in powerful ways—in our churches, our communities, even across the world. But what if revival doesn’t start out there? What if it starts in here? ♥️

Revival begins with a heart change.

Before the crowds gather, before the worship swells, before testimonies are shared—revival is quietly born in the heart of someone who is willing to be changed. It’s not just about emotional experiences or spiritual highs. True revival is marked by repentance, surrender, and a renewed hunger for God’s presence.

We can’t expect transformation around us until we allow transformation within us.

God isn’t waiting for a perfect stage or a packed stadium. He’s looking for hearts that are humble, broken, and ready to be shaped. Hearts that say, “Search me, God, and know my heart… lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24).

So before we ask God to move in our nation, we must first ask Him to move in our own lives:

  • Is there any sin I’ve become comfortable with?

  • Have I become spiritually numb or distracted?

  • Am I truly hungry for more of Him, or just more of what He can do for me?

Revival is personal before it’s public. It starts when you and I hit our knees—not for a show, but because we’re desperate for the Spirit to do what only He can do: revive what’s dead, reignite what’s cold, and restore what’s broken.

There is hope for revival, but it begins with a heart turned fully back to God. Let’s not just pray for revival. Let’s live it—starting right here, right now, in us.
